3 NEW SHOWS WORTH WATCHING THIS WEEKEND

Back with another weekend watch list, this list has 3 new shows that might be binge-worthy this weekend and worth your time.

1. The Polygamist

A woman with a serious expression wearing a white hat and elegant white attire, featuring pearl earrings and red lipstick.

A South African telenovela on Netflix based on Zimbabwean author Sue Nyathi’s novel of the same name. The show follows Joyce Gomora, a social media darling who has spent years maintaining a picture perfect family image until her husband’s betrayal pushes her to do the unthinkable. I’m only 4 episodes in but this show already has my full attention. The Polygamist is a ridiculous drama but the dialogue is hilarious and the women are compelling, which is the key to making a show like this work but I’ll be back with a full review when I’m done.

2. Margo’s Got Money Troubles

A man holding a baby smiles at the child, while a young woman in a pink top sits between them, looking concerned. A woman in a leopard print dress sits on the other side, observing the scene.

On Apple TV, follows a young woman navigating financial chaos and some very unconventional choices to stay afloat. Elle Fanning has natural charm and charisma so I know she’ll deliver as Margo. I just finished Cape Fear on Apple TV and was honestly about to cancel my subscription but this might be the reason I stick around a little longer.

3. House of the Dragon Season 3

A woman with blonde hair wearing a red ornate garment stands in the foreground, while a large dragon is visible in the background against a rocky terrain.

The Targaryens are back and the dragon war is still very much not over. If you have not been keeping up, clear your weekend. I spent most of last weekend rewatching season 2 just so I could walk into this new season fully connected. Episode 1 already premiered last weekend, I haven’t watched it yet, so this is definitely at the top of my list.
